Affilin® molecules and Affilin® Bispecific multimers follow the neutralization/blocking strategies similar to antibodies. However, they take advantage of superiority of Affilin®’s small size when deep tissue penetration is needed.
Bispecific Affilin® molecules are also applied to specifically target diseased cells and in parallel recruit effector molecules such as pro-apoptotic cytokines for effector function. In addition, tight binding of Bispecific Affilin® molecules to serum proteins with long half-lives can significantly extent the retention time of Affilin® molecules in the blood stream.
